Happy New Year and Happy New Pictures!!

Bad blogger mommy, it's been a minute since I last posted. AND so much to share! First, since we couldn't send our Christmas Card out to EVERYBODY this year, here it is for those of you who didn't get one:

The pictures on the card are from a great session at Roswell Mill back in October. We had an incredible time with Katie, the photog from Minutes of Love Photography. Here are a few more pictures from that shoot (Addy-bug is getting to be such a BIG girl):

And finally (last, but most certainly not least), our BIG news for 2012:

May you be blessed with love and health in the New Year. Thanks for keeping up and "Keeping the Faith" ;)! More updates to come.

About Me

My Photo
First and foremost, we are parents. Our firstborn son, Dylan graced us with 6 beautiful days of life before he was Heaven-bound. Losing a child has strengthened our relationship and our faith. Together, we possess the courage to face whatever life throws our way and the will to survive it all. We've even survived the fears and anxiety of a subsequent pregnancy and have happily welcomed our baby girl Faith to the family. “The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything they have.”

Faith

Author Unknown

Faith isn't anything you can see;
It isn't anything you can touch.
But you can feel it in your heart.

Faith is what keeps you trying
When others would have given up.
It keeps you believing in
The goodness of others
And helps you find it.

Faith is trusting in a power
Greater than yourself
And knowing that whatever happens,
This power will carry you through anything.
It is believing in yourself
And having courage
To stand up for what you believe in.

Faith is Peace in the midst of a storm,
Determination in the midst of adversity,
And safety in the midst of trouble.
For nothing can touch a soul
That is protected by faith.

A Different Child

by Pandora MacMillian

People notice
There's a special glow around you.

You grow
Surrounded by love,
Never doubting you are wanted;
Only look at the pride and joy
In your mother and father's eyes.

And if sometimes
Between the smiles
There's a trace of tears,
One day
You'll understand.

You'll understand
There was once another child
A different child
Who was in their hopes and dreams.

That child will never outgrow the baby clothes
That child will never keep them up at night
In fact, that child will never be any trouble at all.

Except sometimes, in a silent moment,
When mother and father miss so much
That different child.

May hope and love wrap you warmly
And may you learn the lesson forever
How infinitely precious
How infinitely fragile
Is this life on earth.

One day, as a young man or woman
You may see another mother's tears
Another father's silent grief
Then you, and you alone
Will understand
And offer the greatest comfort.

When all hope seems lost,
You will tell them
With great compassion,
"I know how you feel.
I'm only here
Because my mother tried again."
